We are currently seeking a friendly, motivated, and professional Receptionist to join our team. If you thrive in a patient-focused environment and possess a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you.
The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate:
- A proactive “can-do” attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond for patients and colleagues
- Excellent customer service skills and a warm, courteous phone manner
- Strong motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Integrity, reliability, and friendliness in all interactions
- Professional appearance and attire at all times
- The ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt during busy periods
- Exceptional time management, punctuality, and a solid work ethic
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Cliniko or similar medical software (preferred but not essential)
- Previous reception experience in an Allied Health setting is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Managing incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
- Maintaining and updating electronic patient records with confidentiality
- Processing payments and billing using HICAPs/ PRODA
- Communicate with medical centres, Medicare, DVA, and third-party providers
- Sterilising podiatry equipment in accordance with health standards
- Assisting the Practice Manager with administrative tasks
- Ensuring the reception and waiting area remains clean, organised, and welcoming
- Supporting general clinic operations as needed
Work Schedule:
The required workdays are as follows:
Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Total hours per week: 22 hours The role will require flexibility to cover leave (sick, annual, or special leave).
Onsite training will be provided to support your success.
