Who are NBAC and Brida?
Ngarliyarndu Bindirri Aboriginal Corporation (NBAC) is a non-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation based in Roebourne, supporting employment, business and community opportunities across the Pilbara.
Brida operates as part of the NBAC group and delivers commercial services across the region, with a large operational workforce working across cleaning, gardening and other service contracts.
While this advertisement appears through the NBAC SEEK profile, this Recruitment Officer position will sit within Brida and support recruitment and onboarding primarily across the Brida and NBAC workforce.
About the role
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Recruitment Officer to join our team in Roebourne.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day recruitment and onboarding process, from the first application through to getting our new employees ready to start work.
You’ll work with candidates, supervisors and employees from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and life experiences, so we’re looking for someone who is approachable, open-minded and genuinely good with people.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help keep our recruitment and onboarding moving, including:
- Advertising vacancies and managing applications
- Screening candidates and coordinating interviews
- Completing reference and pre-employment checks
- Keeping candidates updated throughout the process
- Coordinating D&A; testing, medicals, uniforms and training
- Preparing employment and onboarding documentation
- Managing recruitment and onboarding through Employment Hero
- Assisting with Pegasus and site mobilisation requirements
- Following up outstanding requirements and keeping things moving
- Working closely with HR, supervisors and administration to get new starters ready for work
- Keeping recruitment and employee records accurate and up to date
Basically, your job is to help get people from “we’d like to hire you” to “ready to start” and keep everything organised along the way.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t necessarily need to be an HR expert.
We’re much more interested in finding someone who:
- Is highly organised and confident with computers and systems
- Has experience in recruitment, administration, coordination or a similar role
- Is great with people and able to build rapport quickly
- Communicates confidently and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
- Has strong attention to detail
- Takes initiative and follows things through without needing to be chased
- Can juggle multiple candidates and priorities at once
- Is comfortable working independently once trained
Experience with Employment Hero, recruitment, onboarding or workforce mobilisation would be a bonus, but we’re happy to train the right person.

- $41 to $43/hr overall package super (made up of $36 to $38/hr base rate $5/hr accommodation allowance
- Monday to Friday, no weekends

The position is based from our Roebourne office, so you’ll need to be able to reliably travel to and from Roebourne.
