The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
Reporting to the Senior Regulatory Advisor, Registration (Program Management), the Regulatory Advisor - Registration (Exam Coordination and Operations) plays a key leadership role in coordinating examination processes and maintaining the governance frameworks that support assessment pathways across the National Scheme. Working closely with National Boards, external providers and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure examinations are delivered efficiently, consistently and with integrity. This role is suited to an adaptable leader who thrives in a complex setting, can confidently manage competing priorities and is committed to continuous improvement.
This is a full time, ongoing role and can be based in any of our Ahpra Offices In this role you will:
- Lead the delivery of examination and assessment processes across a complex operating environment.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice, reporting and insights to inform decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement, governance and operational excellence.
- Manage change, competing priorities and emerging challenges while maintaining a focus on quality and service

You will also bring
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, developing and supporting high-performing teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing reports, briefings and other high-quality documentation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple portfolios and levels of seniority.
- Advanced analytical capability, including experience interpreting complex data and translating insights into practical recommendations.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to managing competing priorities and change.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using data to support operational and strategic outcomes.
