RIGGERS & TRADES ASSISTANTS WANTED – IMMEDIATE START

First Grade Contract Maintenance (FGCM) is looking for experienced Riggers and Trades Assistants for immediate and ongoing work across Central Queensland mine sites and our Biloela workshop.

We have multiple positions available with a strong pipeline of work across planned maintenance, down days, breakdowns, shutdowns and projects.

RIGGERS

We are looking for experienced Riggers to support our maintenance and project crews with:

- Crane and lifting activities

- Equipment removal and installation

- Structural and mechanical maintenance

- Fixed plant and CHPP work

- Shutdowns and planned maintenance

- Breakdown and project work

- Working alongside Boilermakers, Fitters and site crews

Applicants undertaking rigging work must hold the appropriate Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Rigging High Risk Work Licence.

TRADES ASSISTANTS

We are looking for experienced Trades Assistants to support our Boilermakers, Fitters, Riggers and maintenance crews.

Work may include

- Assisting mechanical and fabrication trades

- Equipment strip-downs, repairs and installations

- Grinding and component preparation

- Using hand and power tools

- Materials and equipment handling

- Supporting lifting and maintenance activities





- Shutdown and project support

- Workshop and mine-site maintenance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Previous mining, shutdown, construction or heavy-industry experience highly regarded

- Strong commitment to safety

- Reliable attendance and punctuality

- Good work ethic

- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew

- Willingness to work across workshop and mine-site projects

- Ability to meet client and site entry requirements

- Relevant High Risk Work Licences

- Anglo American Dawson Mine induction

- Batchfire Callide Mine induction
