- Initial 8 months contract with a possible extension

Purpose of the role:
The role is responsible for the design and delivery of context specific projects which involve architecture, landscape architecture, active transport, urban design, environment, civil engineering, and heritage. Projects range from strategic master planning to detailed documentation and construction across a broad spectrum of Parklands with diverse community, cultural heritage, and environmental needs. This role will be responsible for managing projects across the project lifecycle from project ideation to completion, with a focus on design management and client-side project management.

Key Accountabilities:

- Develop and define strategic and/or capital works projects from ideation phase, prepare detailed and accurate project briefs and manage the procurement of consultants, contractors, and external project managers.
- Manage, monitor, report and deliver strategic and/or capital works projects in accordance with agreed objectives, approved designs, budgets, programs, risks and internal governance mechanisms.
- Gain all necessary approvals to deliver projects including engagement with stakeholders, coordinating with external government agencies, organisations and utilities providers.
- Advocate for high-quality design outcomes through all phases of project delivery and providing advice to projects led by other parties.
- Manage project teams,



ensuring compliance with internal project governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver project objectives and achieve all milestones.
- Foster and manage relationships with community, interest groups, stakeholders and internal staff to develop projects and ensure the coordinated delivery of projects.
- Provide appropriate levels of advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project delivery in line with agreed communication plans, budgets, programs and objectives.

Essential requirements:

- Experience at a senior level in project investigations and planning, specifying works, tendering projects, assessing tenders, managing consultants and contractors, developing and implementing project management plans, budget management and commissioning project works.
- Tertiary qualifications in one or more of the following: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Project Management, Urban Design and/or Civil Engineering.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and ability to travel to and attend work at any site within the GSP portfolio.
