About The
Role
As the Early Childhood Teacher and Room Leader, you’ll lead a nominated room, delivering a high-quality, engaging learning program that celebrates each child’s strengths, interests and individual needs. You’ll support children with additional and complex needs using trauma-informed practices, while creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can learn, grow and thrive. You’ll also guide and mentor educators, oversee daily routines, allocate room duties, support staff development, and ensure children’s wellbeing, staff safety and the ongoing quality of the program and learning environment.
This will include: Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of a high-quality early learning program that reflects each child’s strengths, interests and individual needs
Implement the EYLF and uphold the National Quality Standards, contributing to continuous improvement and quality outcomes
Deliver engaging, face-to-face teaching and support centre operation
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and licensing requirements Engage children and families in decision-making and support community participation About You:
You will have experience and skills in the following: University qualifications in Early Childhood Education and registration with NESA
1–2 years’ experience as a Room Leader, leading and guiding educators
Passion for supporting children with additional and complex needs using trauma-informed practices
Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, child development and inclusive early childhood practices
Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification
Child protection training and commitment to child safety
