Role Description This is a full-time, in office Security Technician role based in Mount Colah, NSW.
The Security
Technician will install, configure, and maintain electronic security systems, including alarm and access control systems, CCTV, and related hardware. Daily responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults, performing repairs, and ensuring all systems meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards. The role involves working closely with project managers and clients to support system commissioning,
upgrades, and ongoing service agreements, while maintaining accurate documentation and service records.
The Security
Technician will also support adherence to occupational health and safety practices and contribute to continuous improvement of security solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess cybersecurity and network security skills to support secure configuration and integration of security systems.
- Candidates should possess alarm systems skills, including installation, testing, maintenance, and fault resolution.
- Candidates should possess occupational health awareness and adherence to safety standards and procedures on-site.
- Relevant trade qualification, certification, or apprenticeship in electronics, security systems, or a related technical field is beneficial.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, and integrated security platforms is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
- Strong communication skills, customer-focused approach, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current driver’s licence and ability to meet any necessary background checks or government clearance requirements.
