Senior API Automation Test Analysts

Location: QLD, ACT, VIC or NSW

Contract: 12 months, with one possible 12-month extension

Working arrangements: Hybrid, subject to agreement with the line manager. Current arrangements require at least three days per week in the office.

Eligibility: Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance

We are seeking two Senior API Automation Test Analysts for a complex Australian Government ICT workplace. You will help ensure APIs, integrations and backend services meet business and technical requirements.

What you'll do

- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, end-to-end and negative API tests.

- Build and maintain automated API test suites and reusable frameworks.

- Validate requests, responses, data, authentication, error handling and integration behaviour.

- Work with developers, architects and delivery teams to investigate defects and resolve quality issues.

- Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines and contribute to test planning, reporting and improvement.

What you'll bring

- Extensive experience testing APIs, integration services and backend systems in complex ICT environments.





- Strong API test automation experience and a sound understanding of RESTful APIs.

- The ability to turn technical specifications and requirements into thorough test coverage.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Experience with Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI or comparable tools is desirable. Experience with CI/CD, API performance or security testing, or Australian Government ICT programs would also be valued.
