Senior Associate – Projects & Energy | Sydney

I’m working with a leading international law firm looking to add an experienced Senior Associate to its Projects & Energy practice in Sydney .

This is a particularly compelling opportunity for a senior projects lawyer looking for more than simply joining another large team.

The successful lawyer will work closely with the senior leadership of the practice and take on a key role within the Sydney team , with significant responsibility across matters, clients and the development of junior lawyers.

The opportunity The practice works across major projects in the energy, renewables and infrastructure sectors , and the preference is for someone who can bring genuine projects experience together with a strong understanding of the energy market.

The ideal candidate will have experience across renewable energy and energy-related projects , although lawyers with a broader infrastructure or construction background and meaningful energy-sector exposure are also encouraged to get in touch.

At this level, the opportunity goes beyond technical execution. You’ll have the chance to:

- Take a leading role on significant projects and transactions
- Work closely with senior practitioners and major clients




- Manage matters with a high degree of autonomy
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
- Develop deeper expertise across the energy and renewables market
- Take on genuine responsibility within the Sydney practice
- Continue building your profile and client relationships at a senior level

About you

This would suit an experienced Senior Associate who has:

- Strong projects experience gained within a recognised private practice

• Experience across energy, renewables, infrastructure or major construction projects

- The ability to take ownership of matters and manage workstreams independently
- Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Experience supervising more junior lawyers
- An interest in taking on a more senior and influential role within a growing practice

Renewables and broader energy experience will be particularly highly regarded.
