About the position

This new Senior Business Analyst will join the organisation for a 2 year Fixed Term Contract engagement, as part of their market leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) function. The role will work with key stakeholders to identify, justify, document and support the development and implementation of quality business and AI-enabled solutions that are aligned to organisational objectives.

The role will ensure business needs are translated into clear, structured and implementable requirements, specifications and supporting artefacts that enable effective delivery, including where AI-assisted delivery methods are used.

The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in bridging business needs and technical delivery by supporting requirements elicitation, process analysis, feature specification, story elaboration, acceptance criteria definition,



quality assurance of analysis artefacts and readiness activities.

The role

- Lead requirements gathering through complex business and systems process analysis. This includes identifying business needs, finding opportunities for quality, data management and AI-enabled improvement, and recommending process improvement or re-engineering.
- Develop business cases, funding requests and project briefs for strategic initiatives in line with the LSSA Project Management Framework.
- Produce project analysis documentation, including business, system and end-user requirements and process models, and co-author feature specifications with Product Owners and Solution Architects.
- Decompose features into story specifications, including reviewing AI-proposed stories and refining acceptance criteria and non-functional, UX/UI and data requirements. Work with Product Owners and delivery teams on prioritisation and sequencing.
- Perform readiness acceptance of all specifications, whether produced internally, externally or with AI support, and develop and promote the LSSA templates and practices that support AI-enabled delivery.
- Support project planning, estimation and reporting by identifying gaps, dependencies and risks,



and escalating issues promptly.
- Participate in, and where applicable direct, test planning, training and readiness activities.
- Build relationships with project teams, the LSSA ICT Team, delivery partners and business stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects, keeping requirements aligned with long-term strategy.

About you

- Proven Senior Business Analysis experience delivering software products and projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced documentation skills, including producing, reviewing and validating requirements, business rules, process models, feature and story specifications and acceptance criteria.
- An appreciation of how AI-enabled delivery may change business analysis practice.
- Fluency in business processes and process differentiation, with the ability to analyse and synthesise requirements, recognise patterns and identify improvement opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills, working collaboratively with Product Owners, Solution Architects, development and test teams, project managers, vendors and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work under broad direction, setting goals and priorities, measuring outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
- Advanced Jira skills would be advantageous as well as Microsoft skills.
