You will work closely with the Business Owners, Project Coordinator, cabinet makers, installers and trade assistants to oversee the installation and completion of kitchen and custom joinery projects. This is a senior, hands-on role that combines practical trade work with site management and team leadership. You will remain hands-on when required while also overseeing the installation team and helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently, professionally and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee kitchen and joinery installations from preparation through to completion
- Coordinate and support cabinet makers, installers and trade assistants
- Undertake and oversee check measures and identify potential site or installation issues before projects commence
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
- Ensure installers have the correct cabinetry, materials, hardware and information required for each project
- Complete cabinet making, installation, modification and rectification works when required
- Attend sites to troubleshoot issues and assist the team with difficult or technical installations
- Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Complete final inspections and ensure outstanding works are followed through to completion
- Support and mentor less-experienced cabinet makers, installers and trade assistants
About you
- Certificate III in Cabinet Making/Joinery or equivalent trade qualification
- Extensive cabinet making and kitchen installation experience
- Strong experience with full kitchen installations and custom joinery
- Experience completing accurate check measures
- Strong plan-reading and technical skills
- Experience supervising or leading other tradespeople
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions onsite
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- A current Australian driver's licence
