As our Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you will Lead the Institute's budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance reporting functions. To do this you will partner with Executive leaders, budget holders and researchers to provide financial insight that supports strategic decision-making and long-term financial sustainability. This role will oversee the financial planning and reporting of the Institute's research grants portfolio, ensuring accurate forecasting, funding utilisation, revenue recognition and financial performance monitoring, as well as supporting grant holders and research leaders in developing budgets, funding applications, business cases and long-term funding plans.

To succeed you will have…

- An accounting/Business degree at master’s level and CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
- 10+ years' experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, management accounting, commercial finance or business partnering roles, including experience in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated experience leading annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Strong financial modelling,



scenario analysis and business case development skills.
- Experience managing research grants, funding reporting and financial acquittals.
- Proven ability to translate financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders, budget holders and non-financial stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Technical leadership, advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills
- People and stakeholder management experience
