We’re Hiring: Senior Data Engineer – Data Migration

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer – Data Migration to join our team and take technical ownership of complex enterprise data migration components.

The Role

You’ll work closely with our Data Migration Lead and Architects to turn migration designs into reliable, tested and repeatable data pipelines.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you’ll design complex migration solutions, solve data and performance issues, establish reusable engineering patterns and provide technical guidance to other engineers.

What You’ll Be Working On

- Designing and building migration pipelines for complex and interdependent enterprise datasets
- Analysing legacy schemas, data behaviour, embedded business rules and derived values
- Developing source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, cleansing rules and validation controls
- Creating reusable patterns for extraction, staging, loading, reconciliation and error handling
- Building reliable Salesforce data loads, including relationships, external IDs, sequencing and platform limits
- Developing historical data loading and transformation processes in Snowflake
- Building repeatable and restartable processes, including incremental loads, exception handling and recovery




- Implementing automated testing and reconciliation to ensure data completeness and accuracy
- Reviewing code and mentoring engineers across engineering and migration practices
- Resolving complex defects during testing, UAT and migration rehearsals
- Supporting production cutover, stabilisation and operational handover

What We’re Looking For

- Strong experience building enterprise data pipelines and delivering complex data migrations
- Advanced SQL skills
- Robust experience with Python or a comparable programming language
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, relational data modelling and complex transformations
- Experience with Salesforce data loading or similar API-based enterprise migrations
- Experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data platform
- Strong understanding of reconciliation, duplicate management, referential integrity and data quality
- Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and controlled deployment practices
- Ability to independently investigate complex technical issues and guide other engineers

Nice to Have

- Experience with IBM DB2, SQL Server or IBM Cúram
- Knowledge of Salesforce Bulk APIs, Change Data Capture and incremental migration patterns
- Experience with historical versioning, data lineage and audit logging
- Experience working with financial or other regulated datasets
