Unearth Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support a major Federal Government data and analytics program focused on improving evidence-based decision making and analytics capability across a national portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analytics professional to work with complex datasets, develop reporting solutions, and contribute to the uplift of modern cloud-based analytics platforms. The role will work closely with government stakeholders, industry partners and multidisciplinary teams to deliver meaningful insights that inform strategic and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, integrate, transform and analyse data from a variety of sources.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting solutions and analytical products.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to support business and strategic decision-making.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities through analysis of complex datasets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting and analytics outcomes.
- Support the transition of reporting and analytics capabilities to Microsoft Fabric and other cloud-based platforms.
- Contribute to data quality,
governance and documentation activities.
- Prepare executive reports, briefings and presentations.
- Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to help build internal analytics capability.
- Work alongside data analysts, engineers, geospatial specialists and business stakeholders.
About You
You will bring a strong blend of technical analytics expertise and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex data into practical business insights.
We're looking for experience in:
- Power BI and dashboard development
- SQL and data modelling
- Data integration and transformation
- Statistical analysis and reporting
- Python, R, SAS or similar analytical tools
- Communicating insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- Working with large and complex datasets
- Government or enterprise analytics environments
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, cloud analytics platforms and enterprise reporting solutions will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience delivering analytical outcomes in complex environments.
