Deering is looking for a Senior Fashion Designer to join our team and help shape the next stage of the brand.

Working closely with our Founder and Creative Director, you’ll translate the broader creative vision into cohesive, distinctive and commercially strong collections that feel unmistakably Deering.

This is a senior, hands-on design role for someone who has strong taste, strong judgement and the confidence to work both autonomously and collaboratively. Sometimes you’ll be given a very clear brief. Other times, you’ll be given a reference, an idea or a direction and trusted to run with it.

You’ll work closely with our Product Development Manager, who owns product development, suppliers, production and the critical path. Your focus is the creative side of the product: what we make, how it looks, how the collection works together and how the Deering design language continues to evolve.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for

- developing seasonal collections across silhouette, colour, fabrication, print and detail
- designing garments and complete looks
- building cohesive ranges that balance directional ideas with commercially significant product
- creating moodboards, sketches and design references
- identifying hero products, new silhouettes and opportunities to evolve existing Deering signatures
- reviewing sales, customer feedback and previous collection performance to inform future design




- working closely with Product Development through sampling and fittings to ensure the final product reflects the original design intent
- helping protect and evolve the Deering design language as the brand grows

About You

You’ll bring

- 10+ years’ experience in womenswear fashion design
- a strong portfolio showing both creative thinking and commercially relevant product
- strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrication, fit and silhouette
- experience building seasonal collections and ranges
- strong hand sketching and/or Adobe Illustrator skills
- confidence in fittings and making clear design decisions
- an understanding of how customer and sales data can inform better product
- strong communication skills and the ability to work closely across creative, product and commercial teams

You’ll have your own point of view, but understand how to design within an established brand language. You’ll be curious about fashion, vintage, art, music and culture without being overly trend-led.
