Our Client

Our client is the Australian and New Zealand arm of a respected global group with a portfolio of specialist products. The local business is lean, profitable and well run, and the finance function sits close to the Managing Director and the wider team.

The Role

This is a Senior Financial Accountant role with a clear path to Finance Manager. You will work alongside an experienced Finance Manager and quickly take ownership of the core finance cycle across Australia and Current Zealand.

- Own the month end close and the monthly reporting pack for Australia and New Zealand
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and journals to a high standard
- Manage BAS, GST and other statutory compliance, working with external advisers on year end and audit
- Support budgeting, forecasting and reporting to the global group
- Oversee payables, receivables and cash flow, and keep controls tight
- Drive process improvements that make reporting faster and more reliable
- Provide commercial insight to the Managing Director on margins, pricing and performance

The Candidate





You will be a hands-on, well-rounded accountant who enjoys variety and ownership in a smaller business, and who wants a genuine path to the Finance Manager role. Experience in a commercial, trading or sales-focused business will be well regarded.

- CA or CPA qualified, or close to completion
- Solid experience running month end and preparing management reports
- Strong working knowledge of GST, BAS and statutory compliance
- Confident communicator who can build trust with a Managing Director and a global finance team
- Advanced Excel skills and a practical, improvement-minded approach

Remuneration and Benefits

- Circa $100,000 base + super
