As the business continues to invest in innovation and process improvement, an exciting chance has arisen for a Senior Group Accountant to work closely with the CFO and leadership team in a highly visible and commercially focused role.

The Opportunity

This is much more than a traditional accounting position. You'll take ownership of finance across multiple entities while partnering closely with operations, sales, purchasing and senior leadership.

Working directly with the CFO, you'll be involved in everything from financial reporting and compliance through to commercial analysis, inventory management, tender support and business improvement initiatives. You'll gain exposure to the full business lifecycle, from procurement and production through to sales performance and strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage full-function accounting across multiple entities, including month end reporting, reconciliations, intercompany accounting and management reporting
- Prepare BAS, payroll tax, superannuation and other statutory compliance obligations
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management across the group
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including payments, collections and credit management
- Partner with sales teams to analyse quoting activity, conversion rates and sales performance
- Deliver business insights across inventory, product profitability, customer trends and margin performance
- Produce management reporting and dashboards to support operational and financial decision making




- Assist with government and commercial tender submissions, including financial and pricing analysis
- Manage product costing, inventory valuation, stock management and margin analysis
- Support purchasing and supply chain activities, including supplier management and landed cost analysis
- Coordinate payroll administration, employee onboarding processes and HR-related administration
- Maintain and improve ERP, reporting and finance systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operational processes

About You

- CA or CPA qualified, part qualified or possessing equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a broad accounting role
- Experience within manufacturing, wholesale, distribution or other inventory-based environments highly regarded
- Strong month end, compliance and financial reporting capability
- Experience managing or overseeing AP and AR functions
- Exposure to costing, inventory management and purchasing processes
- Commercial mindset with the ability to partner with operational and sales teams
- Strong ERP systems experience, with advanced Excel skills
- Interest in technology, automation and AI-driven reporting tools
- Confident communicator who can translate financial information into practical business insights
