The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a large, site-based manufacturing operation. This role will play a key part in supporting operational performance through high-quality financial reporting, commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering.
Working closely with site leadership, operational teams and finance stakeholders, you will provide insights that drive decision-making, support financial governance and help deliver strong business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver accurate weekly and monthly financial reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and latest estimate processes.
- Analyse manufacturing costs, overheads and operational performance.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and actionable business insights.
- Support month-end close activities, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with site leaders to improve financial and operational outcomes.
- Assist with capital project analysis, business cases and performance tracking.
- Support audit requirements, financial controls and governance processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage and report on operational expenditure, including maintenance and site costs.
The Candidate
- CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, industrial or a similarly complex operational environment.
- Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
- Sound financial accounting and reporting experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build relationships across all levels of a business.
- Solid communication skills and the confidence to influence operational stakeholders.
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of key finance processes.
