What your day could look like
As a Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer, you'll help ensure our teams have the goods, services and commercial support they need to deliver exceptional healthcare. From shaping procurement strategies to partnering with stakeholders across the health service, you'll contribute to outcomes that strengthen services and create value for communities across the Darling Downs.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Leading procurement and category initiatives that deliver value, reduce risk and support service priorities.
Partnering with clinical, operational and corporate teams to develop practical commercial solutions and informed decisions.
Managing contract performance and supplier relationships to maximise outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
Providing trusted commercial advice that strengthens compliance, supports innovation and enables sustainable results.
Let's talk about you!
You're a commercially minded professional who combines technical expertise with solid relationships and sound judgement. You approach challenges with integrity, communicate with confidence, and enjoy working with others to achieve meaningful outcomes. Whether you're negotiating a complex agreement or identifying new opportunities for improvement, you'll take pride in delivering solutions that help healthcare teams focus on what matters most.
You're motivated by making a genuine impact and bringing compassion, courage, dignity and innovation to the way you work.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Experience in procurement, category management and contract management.
Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
The ability to analyse information, solve complex problems and deliver practical outcomes.
A customer-focused approach with a commitment to compliant and value-driven results.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have formal procurement training, such as PCP Level 2 or equivalent, and/or experience managing diverse procurement categories in a large and complex environment.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is passionate about creating value, building trusted partnerships and delivering outcomes that support healthier communities.
