About The Role

West Coast Civil Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in asphalt construction, pavements, and aviation infrastructure projects.

This role will play a key part in the planning, delivery and performance of major civil infrastructure projects, including airport works, airside pavements, asphalt rehabilitation, runway and taxiway construction, roadworks, and other complex infrastructure projects across Western Australia.

Reporting directly to senior operational leadership, you will work closely with project managers, supervisors, clients,



subcontractors and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take ownership of significant projects while contributing to the continued growth of a leading WA-owned contractor.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead project engineering activities across asphalt, pavement and aviation infrastructure projects.

- Develop and manage project delivery plans, methodologies and construction programs.

- Prepare and review ITPs, quality documentation and project specifications.

- Coordinate procurement, subcontractors and project resources.

- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking and reporting.

- Monitor productivity, project performance and program compliance.

- Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations and contractual obligations.

- Prepare and review work packs, permits, construction documentation and technical submissions.

- Provide technical support and mentoring to Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors.

- Liaise with airports, government agencies, consultants and key stakeholders.

- Support tendering activities, methodologies and project planning.

- Drive safety leadership and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company and client standards.

- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.





- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery systems and processes.

What We're Looking For

- Degree in Civil Engineering.

- Minimum 8 years' experience within civil construction and infrastructure projects.

- Demonstrated experience delivering asphalt and pavement projects.

- Strong understanding of pavement design, asphalt placement, profiling, milling and surfacing works.

- Proven experience managing project costs, forecasts, budgets and reporting.

- Excellent understanding of quality assurance and construction compliance.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

- Strong commercial acumen and leadership capability.
