The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We’re focused on supporting Victorians to be as healthy as they can; whether through alerting them to seasonal risks like thunderstorm asthma, notifying them of contact with communicable diseases, safeguarding their drinking water, developing the best health, wellbeing and care facilities in the world, being at the forefront of mental health and wellbeing treatment or accelerating medical research. It’s all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life. About the role:
The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for the project work to support the expansion of the Community Pharmacist Program. The Program aims to support people to access timely health care for select, common conditions through their pharmacist. The Program is a continuation of the Community Pharmacist Statewide Pilot and will expand to 23 conditions by 30 June 2027.
This position will report to the Implementation Manager. It will be responsible to complete work as directed including policy, project development, coordination of training, development of briefs and reports, communications materials, reviews and website updates, support to contractual,
procurement and legal processes as needed and support for IT development work including writing business rules and testing.
