- Internal Expressions of Interest - Environment Officer Class 10
- Temporary role up to end August 2027 - full-time at 35 hours per week
- Located in Parramatta with hybrid working supported
- Salary ranges from $138,454 to $152,686 pa plus super

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Officer to join the Choose Circular Markets team within the Business and Industry Decarbonisation division. The Choose Circular program is enabling NSW’s transition to a circular economy by empowering government agencies to make sustainable choices.

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of projects that support circular economy, sustainability and net zero outcomes across government and industry sectors.

Opportunities include

- Design and delivery of projects that support suppliers to provide sustainable product choices to government.
- Delivery of projects that support NSW Government agencies to increase procurement of recycled material and implement circular procurement practices.
- Provision of circular economy advice to priority government strategies and policies.

As a Senior Project Officer, you will:
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across government and industry sectors.
- Manage project development, delivery, governance, resources, budgets, risks and reporting requirements to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee monitoring, research and evaluation activities to drive continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making.

About You





You are a strategic and adaptable project professional with strong experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. You can balance competing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering quality outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Sound knowledge of the operational requirements for successful delivery of circular economy, sustainability and/or net zero emissions programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong project management skills, including governance, planning, risk management, budgeting and reporting.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple project streams and interdependencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret information and develop evidence-based recommendations.

Essential Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
