Wanderer Adventures, a proud member of the Searoad Ferries group of companies, is gearing up for the highly anticipated reopening of the Prom General Store at Tidal River, Wilsons Promontory. Positioned inside Victoria's largest and most famous recreation and campground zone, the store serves as the exclusive, vital retail and hospitality hub for more than 500,000 local, interstate, and international tourists annually.

Exciting times are ahead! The Prom General Store is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment to open in time for our peak summer operations. The venue is being modernised to feature an amazing selection of retail products, grocery essentials, and an improved food offering with a cool, vibrant atmosphere - all while beautifully retaining the beloved nostalgia of the iconic structure.

We are seeking a highly organised, meticulous, and proactive Inventory Coordinator. to manage our back-of-house operations, streamline our stock systems, and support our frontline floor team in this freshly upgraded venue.

About the role

Supporting the Assistant Store Manager, you will step into a vital operational role where stock flow and precision are everything. You will balance strict inventory control with a hands-on approach to ensure our grocery, retail, consumables, and takeaway food categories remain seamlessly stocked across all peak seasons.





Your key responsibilities will include:

- Inventory Control & Procurement: Establish and monitor optimal par levels across all store departments to maximise stock availability while keeping wastage and shrinkage to an absolute minimum.
- System Administration & Reporting: Manage pricing, inventory data, and stock takes within our online stock management software to provide accurate, data-backed margin insights to management.
- Warehousing & Logistics: Lead the receiving, safe unloading, and tight structural organisation of all delivery zones, stockrooms, cool rooms, and freezers.
- Off-Site Supply Runs: Drive out to other company sites or regional supplier depots to pick up and transport essential merchandise, ingredients, or consumables.
- Merchandising & Signage Compliance: Collaborate closely with store leaders and follow visual direction from our Retail Operations Specialist / General Manager to ensure shelf ticketing, pricing labels, and visual planograms are perfectly executed on the floor.
- Frontline Support: Lead by example by stepping out of the stockroom and onto the retail floor during busy trading waves to run checkouts, serve customers, or help out with basic food and beverage prep.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict workplace health and safety practices,



focusing heavily on safe manual handling, lifting techniques, and cold-chain food safety logs.

About You

To thrive in this quick-paced, remote environment, you will be a physically resilient, self-sufficient professional who takes genuine pride in bringing structure and accuracy to back-of-house logistics.

Essential Requirements

- Driver's Licence: A valid Victorian Driver's Licence for off-site supply runs.
- Logistics & Compliance: Experience in stock control, warehousing, and required checks including National Police and Working with Children clearances.
- Remote Readiness: A genuine desire and capability to live and work harmoniously in a remote regional area within a small, close-knit team.
