A small stainless steel fabrication business in Blacktown is currently seeking a Junior Sheet Metal Apprentice to join their facility.
Position Overview:-
This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in sheet metal fabrication.
As an Apprentice, you will receive full comprehensive, hands-on training in all aspects of stainless steel fabrication while working alongside experienced tradespeople. This apprenticeship includes fully supported TAFE training to achieve your trade qualification.
You will learn the following :-
- The fabrication techniques for stainless steel products such as kitchen benches, range hoods, and custom items
- How to read and interpret drawings and plans
- How to operate and maintain workshop machinery
- Measuring, folding , welding and laser cutting stainless steel
- Learning workplace health and safety guidelines
- General workshop duties, including how to keep the work area clean and organised
Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:-
- Minimum Year 10 school certificate with above average achievement of Mathematics
- Must have a willingness to learn, take direction , be reliability with a strong work ethic
- Must have a minimum of a driver's learner's permit and proof of currently learning to drive.
