Our client, a well-established iron ore mining company, is seeking a Site Gatehouse Officer for their operation based in South Australia’s Gawler Craton.
This is a 2:2 roster (weeks on/weeks off), offering a great work-life balance while still earning strong money – effectively working half the year.
Flights, accommodation, and meals are all provided, with this position offering a rare opportunity to secure a full time ongoing role on site with a reputable mining operator.

Primary Responsibilities –
- Managing and controlling all personnel and vehicle access to site
- Verifying identification, permits, inductions and site compliance requirements
- Monitoring and regulating entry/exit through the gatehouse
- Conducting BAC and drug & alcohol testing in line with site procedures
- Maintaining accurate site access registers and logs
- Coordinating traffic flow and ensuring safe entry/exit conditions
- Responding to and reporting any security breaches or non-compliance
- Acting as a key point of contact for site access enquiries
- Liaising with site teams, contractors and key stakeholders
- Supporting emergency response communications when required
To be successful you’ll have –
- Valid SA Security Licence (Cert II in Security Operations)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Ability to obtain Defence clearance (Woomera Prohibited Area)
- Experience working in a mining/resources or remote environment highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
