QUALIFIED PLUMBER – STEP INTO A KEY ROLE WITH A GROWING QLD PLUMBING BUSINESS

AquaWave Plumbing Solutions – Brisbane QLD

GREAT PLUMBERS DESERVE MORE THAN JUST ANOTHER JOB.

We’re an established Queensland plumbing business with a strong base of ongoing maintenance, commercial, renovation and project work.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an A-grade qualified plumber to join our team and step into an important role within the business.

We’re not looking for someone who simply wants to clock on, get through the day and go home.

We want a quality tradesperson who can take ownership of jobs, solve problems, communicate professionally with customers and deliver work they’re proud to put their name against.

For the right person, there’s also genuine opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop into a senior/leadership position as our team continues to grow.

THE ROLE

You’ll work across a variety of plumbing jobs, including:

General plumbing maintenance

Blocked drains and fault finding

Hydro-jetting and camera inspections

Project work for builders

Reading and working from site plans

Site visits and quoting works

Recording job notes, photos and information through ServiceM8

Communicating directly with customers, builders and other trades

Training and supporting apprentices

Taking ownership of jobs from start through to completion

No two weeks will look exactly the same.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We want someone who knows their trade and can be trusted to get on with the job.

You can arrive on site, assess the situation, communicate with the customer, work out the best solution and get it sorted properly.

Ideally, you’ll have:

Certificate III in Plumbing

Relevant QLD plumbing and drainage licences/qualifications

Strong understanding of Queensland plumbing standards

Maintenance plumbing experience

Renovation and/or commercial experience

Experience with hydro-jetting and drain cameras

Ability to read and understand plans

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Good written and verbal communication

Confidence towing and reversing a trailer

Working at Heights experience/ticket

Confidence using job-management software such as ServiceM8

MORE IMPORTANTLY, YOU’RE THE RIGHT TYPE OF PERSON

We can provide systems, support and opportunities.

What we can’t teach is attitude.

We’re looking for someone who:

Takes genuine pride in their workmanship

Turns up on time and does what they say they’ll do

Has high personal and skilled standards

Can confidently work independently

Is equally comfortable working as part of a team

Looks for solutions instead of excuses

Communicates professionally with customers

Looks after vehicles, tools and equipment

Is happy to train and support an apprentice

Takes responsibility when something needs to get done

Wants to keep developing personally and professionally

WHY JOIN US?

We’ve built a strong foundation and are now focused on the next stage of growth.

That means we’re looking for good people we can invest in for the long term , not just another plumber to fill a van.

You’ll join a business with established customers, systems and a variety of ongoing work, while still being small enough that your contribution is noticed and your ideas actually matter.

You’ll have the autonomy to do your job without someone constantly looking over your shoulder, backed by a team that values communication, quality workmanship and doing things properly.

And as we grow, we want the right people growing with us.

If you’re looking for a business where you can take ownership, be trusted, produce quality work and potentially step into greater responsibility in the future, we’d like to hear from you.
