About the role We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our Kitchen leadership team, working closely with the Executive Chef and senior Kitchen team.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of our busy Kitchen, supervising and supporting the team while ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and service.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the tools, can confidently lead a team during busy service periods and takes pride in developing chefs, cooks and apprentices.

Duties

- Support the Executive Chef with the day-to-day operation of the Kitchen

- Lead and supervise the Kitchen team during preparation and service

- Prepare and present menu items across our food and beverage outlets to a consistently high standard

- Maintain food quality, presentation and portion standards throughout service

- Train, mentor and develop chefs, cooks, apprentices and new team members

- Ensure food safety, hygiene, cleaning and WHS standards are maintained

- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing Kitchen environment

Skills & experience

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification

- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate and support a diverse Kitchen team

- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, food safety and hygiene standards

- Experience with stock control, ordering,



food costs and minimising wastage

- Confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume Kitchen environment

- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team wherever required

- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
