About the role

Furnx Commercial Furniture is seeking a dedicated and organised Warehouse Storeperson to join our team in Brendale, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Storeperson, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, and dispatch of commercial furniture stock, ensuring that our inventory is well-organised, accurately tracked, and readily available for our customers. This role is essential to supporting our logistics operations and maintaining the high service standards that Furnx Commercial Furniture is known for.

What you'll be doing

- Receiving and checking incoming furniture stock against delivery dockets and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and quality
- Organising and storing stock in the warehouse using efficient shelving and storage systems
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels using warehouse management systems
- Picking, packing and preparing furniture items for dispatch to customers
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and responsibly
- Conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse setting in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and ensuring items are securely fastened
- Supporting the warehouse team with general administrative tasks related to stock management
- Liaising with sales and customer service teams to fulfil orders promptly and accurately





What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a warehouse or storage environment, ideally within furniture or manufacturing industries
- Proficiency in operating warehouse management systems and stock control software
- Experience operating material handling equipment, particularly forklifts or similar machinery
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and stock management
- Physical capability to lift, carry and move items regularly, including heavy furniture pieces
- A commitment to maintaining health and safety standards in the workplace
- Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently as well as within a team environment
- Basic numeracy skills for stock counting and inventory management
- Valid forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is highly desirable
- Experience in a commercial furniture or related logistics environment would be advantageous
