About the position The Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Advisor is a key part of Stride’s dynamic team, playing a vital role in delivering excellent outcomes to Stride’s clients. This is a junior role, ideal for someone with one to three years' experience who wants to build a career in stakeholder engagement.

You will work closely with senior staff who will coach you, building stakeholder relationships and supporting engagement and communications on fast-moving projects.

You will build expertise across the renewable energy project cycle, including project positioning and reputation, competitive bids and tenders, government engagement and market insights.

Location

Sydney or Melbourne preferred, though we are flexible on location for the right candidate. Stride offers hybrid and work from home arrangements. This role includes regular travel to regional locations where our clients' projects are based.

Responsibilities

You will

- Coordinate stakeholder mapping, briefings, updates and training to help clients engage communities, landholders, all levels of government and industry bodies.

- Write clear, accurate, audience-appropriate materials: stakeholder briefs, factsheets, newsletters, web and media content, meeting notes, workshop packs and executive updates.

- Organise and help facilitate workshops, meetings and community events.

- Travel regularly to regional locations for community events, drop-in sessions, site visits and client meetings, with some overnight stays.

- Research and benchmark industry trends to generate insights for clients.

- Monitor media, social media and policy developments, and flag emerging issues.

- Support reviews of clients' engagement and communications strategies, processes and collateral.

- Support tender submissions (energy auctions, grants, development programs), coordinating inputs and positioning projects against tender criteria.

- Support the delivery of client projects on scope, time and budget, flagging risks and issues to senior staff early.

- Help build strong client relationships by understanding client needs.

- Keep stakeholder databases and engagement records accurate.

- Undertake other reasonable tasks to support the team.

You as part of the Stride team

We are a diverse, supportive team. High expectations are matched by a real commitment to your development.

As part of the Stride team, you are committed to:

- Doing work that actually reduces carbon emissions, prioritising projects that get things done.

- Collaborating with clients and colleagues who share your values and work ethic.

- Adding value to clients, whether working alongside them or embedded in their teams.

- Delivering at a high tempo while still making time to improve, think and try new things.

- Growing your technical skills on a human-centred foundation.

- Working hard when clients need it, while respecting family and free time.

- Analytical skills to turn qualitative and quantitative information into insights.
