At Pembroke, we are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled German Teacher to join our Languages faculty, commencing in 2027.

About the Role In this exciting role, you will teach German across a range of year levels, supporting students to develop advanced language proficiency, cultural understanding and confidence in communicating in German. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver engaging and challenging learning experiences in German Language.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Teach German language and culture to second language and background learners across Year 7 -10.
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and culturally rich learning experiences that develop students’ language proficiency and understanding.
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback to support progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the German program.
- Contribute positively to the broader co-curricular and pastoral life of the School.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will be a passionate and engaging educator who thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment.

You will have

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and current teacher registration (or eligibility) in South Australia.
- Demonstrated fluency in German.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying language abilities.
- A collaborative, innovative,



and student-centred approach to teaching and learning.

Required for Employment (Prior to Commencement)

- Current Working with Children Check (South Australia)
- Current Plink RRHAN-EC training: Masterclass and Fundamentals, including Protective Practices
- First Aid and CPR
