The role is to support two established teams who provide personalised support to a brother and sister who are neighbours but lead very separate lives.
This is for someone who is passionate about truly understanding the people they support and helping them live meaningful, self-directed lives. You will work closely with each person, their family, friends, and support networks to ensure supports are shaped around their preferences, relationships, interests and aspirations.
Alongside providing direct support you will mentor and develop support workers and key workers, to foster a positive and reflective team culture, and ensure support remains responsive and consistent around each person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build genuine relationships and develop a deep understanding of what matters to each person.
- Support a team culture around each person so that they can pursue their individual lives, maintain relationships, and develop current connections in their community.
- Lead, mentor and support key workers and support staff to deliver high-quality support.
- Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, accountability and reflective practice.
- Work collaboratively with families, friends and other important people in each person's life.
- Support the key workers to plan for and implement meaningful opportunities with each person.
- Coordinate team meetings, training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with recruitment, induction and onboarding of new team members.
- Coordinate rosters, staffing and leave arrangements to ensure continuity of support.
- Provide direct support on a planned and ad hoc basis.

Pay rate:
Casual base rate of pay is $47 per hour with usual penalties apply for evenings, weekends and hours worked on public holidays.
