Role Description The Temporary Works Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Brisbane, QLD. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing temporary works such as formwork, scaffolding, shoring, and falsework to support safe and efficient construction activities. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing design documentation, liaising with engineers and project managers, preparing and checking temporary works plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and company procedures.

The Temporary Works

Coordinator monitors installation and dismantling activities, conducts inspections, and maintains accurate records and registers of temporary works. The role also involves providing technical guidance to site teams,



supporting risk assessments and method statements, and contributing to continuous improvement in safety and work quality.

Qualifications

- Technical expertise in temporary works, including formwork, scaffolding, shoring, and falsework, with a solid understanding of construction methodologies and site operations.
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and design calculations, and coordinating with internal and external engineering teams.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, codes of practice, and workplace health and safety regulations applicable to temporary works.
- Effective planning, coordination, and organizational skills for managing multiple temporary works packages and meeting project deadlines.
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct inspections, risk assessments, and develop or review safe work method statements and temporary works procedures.
- Experience in civil, infrastructure, or commercial construction environments; exposure to industrial services or large-scale scaffolding projects is advantageous.
- Relevant qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience in temporary works coordination.
- Proficiency with common construction and engineering software tools (e.g., MS Office, project coordination systems; experience with design or CAD tools is beneficial).
