Tintinara Area School is seeking a reliable and motivated Grounds and Maintenance Employee to support the safe and effective operation of our R-12 school site.
The role includes maintaining the school grounds, gardens, lawns, oval, facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities also include minor repairs, pool maintenance, playground inspections, waste management and accurate maintenance records.

What you will need
Practical skills and experience in grounds, garden, building or facilities maintenance The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and use initiative
Solid communication skills and the ability to work appropriately around children The ability to safely operate and maintain relevant tools, machinery and equipment
Relevant training in pool operation and chemical handling, working safely at heights, chainsaw operation and playground inspection,
or a willingness to undertake this training A current Working with Children Check and required Department for Education clearances.

Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment.
