Level 5 - $115,619.99* per annum (incl $20,000 Port Hedland Allowance) + 12% Superannuation
- A 4.5% base salary increase will apply following the approval and formal registration of the Town's Industrial Agreement

The Role
Take the lead at the Matt Dann Theatre & Cinema as the Theatre & Cinema Operations Supervisor, where you'll oversee the strategic and operational delivery of one of Hedland's most iconic cultural venues.
In this full-time leadership role, you'll be responsible for the effective running of the operational requirements and managing the venue's business activities, including contract management, budgeting, staff rostering, and stakeholder engagement. You'll curate movie programming and contribute to live show scheduling, ensuring a diverse and engaging calendar of events for the community.
You'll supervise the Theatre & Cinema Team Leader and casual staff pool, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
Your role also includes overseeing ticketing systems, kiosk operations, financial reconciliations, and compliance with licensing and safety regulations.
This position requires a proactive leader with experience in venue operations, arts administration, or event management. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver memorable experiences while maintaining the integrity and functionality of the venue.
Evening and weekend work is required, with the role offering a unique opportunity to shape the cultural landscape of Port Hedland. For further information, please view the attached position description.
Work Related Requirements
Preferred Required The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Certificate III or higher in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in venue operations, event management, arts administration, or a related field.
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Chief Fire Warden Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Physically able to safely move, lift, load and unload objects that are up to 15kg
