We are seeking an experienced TIBCO MFT Migration Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in TIBCO Managed File Transfer (MFT) administration and application migration.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of TIBCO MFT application architecture and its underlying infrastructure components, with the ability to independently assess the existing environment and develop an effective migration strategy with minimal or no service downtime.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer, support and troubleshoot TIBCO MFT environments.
- Assess the existing TIBCO MFT application architecture, configuration and dependencies.
- Develop and execute an end-to-end TIBCO MFT application migration strategy.
- Plan migration activities to achieve minimal or zero downtime and minimise business impact.
- Analyse application layers and dependencies across servers, networks, security and data transfer components.
- Support migration between on-premises and AWS environments.
- Work with infrastructure, network, security and application teams to coordinate migration activities.
- Support configuration and troubleshooting of load balancers, connectivity and secure data transfer components.
- Develop migration plans, implementation procedures, rollback plans and technical documentation.
- Perform migration testing, validation and post-migration support.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
Requirements
- Approximately 5–6 years of relevant infrastructure/application engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with TIBCO Managed File Transfer (MFT) administration.
- Proven experience supporting or delivering TIBCO MFT migration activities.
- Valuable understanding of TIBCO MFT application architecture and application layers.
- Experience developing application migration strategies and implementation plans.
- Good understanding of secure file/data transfer technologies and security concepts.
- Working knowledge of load balancers, networking and application connectivity.
- Experience with on-premises infrastructure and AWS technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform technical tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.
