Electrical A-Grade & Site Foreman, and Communications Technician

LUME Electrical Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical A-Grade & Site Foreman, and Communications Technician to join our team in Melbourne, VIC 3000. This is a full-time position that combines hand-on electrical expertise with site leadership responsibilities and communications technology knowledge. In this role, you will oversee electrical installations and maintenance projects whilst managing on-site teams and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will be central to delivering excellence across our commercial and industrial electrical projects, bringing both technical proficiency and supervisory capability to drive project success.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and manage electrical teams on site, ensuring all work meets safety standards, quality specifications and project timelines
- Perform A-Grade electrical work including the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in commercial settings
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and system issues with minimal downtime
- Prepare accurate reports, timesheets and documentation for completed work and project progress
- Liaise with project managers, clients and other stakeholders to communicate project status and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain electrical equipment and tools, ensuring they are in safe working condition
- Mentor junior electricians and apprentices, fostering their professional development and technical skills

What we're looking for

- Current A-Grade electrical licence (Victoria) with a clean, valid driver's licence




- Minimum 3+ years of post-trade experience in commercial and industrial electrical work
- Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role managing on-site teams and projects
- Knowledge of communications technology systems, including data cabling, network installations and integration with electrical systems
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008) and electrical safety compliance requirements
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, plans and technical specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate and mentor team members
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to safety culture and proactive hazard identification and management
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where required
- Relevant First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous
- Experience with site management software and tools is desirable
