About the role

Valley Motor Group is seeking an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead and manage our used car sales operations in Traralgon, VIC. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to drive sales performance, lead a dynamic team, and contribute to the continued success of our dealership. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of used car sales, including team management, customer relations, inventory management, and achieving sales targets.

You will be pivotal in creating a high-performing sales environment that delivers exceptional customer experiences whilst maximising profitability.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and motivate a team of used car sales consultants to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
- Manage all aspects of used car inventory, including acquisition, pricing strategy, and stock rotation to optimise sales potential
- Oversee customer negotiations, deal structuring and sales closure processes to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability
- Develop and implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns to drive enquiry and increase used car sales volume
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting on sales metrics, team performance and business results
- Ensure compliance with all relevant automotive industry regulations, consumer protection laws and company policies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support business growth
- Conduct staff training and performance reviews to develop team capabilities and maintain service excellence standards
- Manage the showroom environment, ensuring vehicles are presented to the highest standard and customer facilities are maintained

What we're looking for

- Proven management experience in automotive sales, preferably in a used car dealership environment
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth




- Solid leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, coach and develop sales teams
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Knowledge of automotive inventory management and pricing strategies
- Proficiency in sales management systems and CRM software
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills to interpret sales data and financial performance metrics
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Full Australian driver's licence and willingness to undertake vehicle test drives as required
- Understanding of relevant automotive industry regulations and consumer protection legislation
