About MRBTA The Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association (MRBTA) is a self-funded, not-for-profit incorporated association with more than 50 years' experience helping the Margaret River Region thrive through tourism.

As Australia's largest Local Tourism Organisation (LTO), we support over 700 member businesses, deliver destination marketing and visitor servicing on behalf of the region, and partner with others on regional development initiatives.

Through our Capes Foundation, we care for eight nature and heritage attractions: Ngilgi, Mammoth, Lake and Jewel Caves; Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouses; Capes Raptor Centre; and Forest Adventures.

MRBTA also operates South West Aviation Services, providing professional aviation ground handling at Busselton Margaret River Airport.

Our team of more than 160 staff, based between Busselton and Augusta, shares a passion for the region and a common vision: to use tourism to make the Margaret River Region a better place to live, work and visit.

About the Role

Are you a people person who takes pride in fantastic customer service? Are you confident, motivated and love talking about the Margaret River Region? If so, this could be the role for you.

MRBTA's Visitor Services Consultants are regional experts who welcome visitors and help them get the most out of their stay. Day to day, that means sharing travel tips and recommendations, assisting with bookings and itinerary planning, and selling visitor centre retail items.

We're looking for casual team members to work at both the Busselton and Margaret River Visitor Centres on an ongoing basis, particularly during busy periods including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

As a member of the Visitor Services team, you will:

- Give a warm welcome to customers coming into the Visitor Centre





- Provide exceptional customer service, making suggestions for things to see and do in the region and helping with itinerary planning

- Process bookings and sales using booking platforms and POS systems

- Take pride in the presentation of the Visitor Centre

- Support and demonstrate MRBTA’s values and professional standards

- Work with an inspiring and fun team who are highly passionate about the Margaret River Region

Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you must possess:

- Local knowledge and passion for the Margaret River Region (from Busselton to Augusta)

- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to tailor information to suit different audiences, cultures and information platforms

- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

- The ability to work as part of a team

- Previous customer service/retail/tourism industry knowledge is desirable but not essential

The successful applicant will:

- Enjoy paid training opportunities and industry benefits

- Be available at sometimes short notice, able to cover anywhere from 4 hour to 7.5 hour shifts and willing to work public and school holidays

- Hold a valid Australian driver's licence, vehicle and be willing to work between the Busselton and Margaret River Visitor Centres as operational requirements arise

- Possess a keen sense of exploration and desire to grow knowledge of the region
