Hazelmere

- Opportunity to join an established people-centred, environmental organisation devoted to healing landscapes and connecting communities
- Attractive semi-rural surroundings with newly built office and nursery facilities
- Immediate start available
- Full time, permanent position based in Hazelmere

THE ROLE This is a diverse and interesting role with a purpose, working with a diverse team of dedicated volunteers including seniors, students and people from diverse backgrounds. This role is central to creating a sense of community within the organisation and ensuring all volunteers participate safely in operational activities.

The primary role of the Volunteer Coordinator is to recruit, train, coordinate and retain a team of regular volunteers who attend Trillion Trees every week. Working closely with the small staff team and CEO, you will assign volunteers to tasks, roles and responsibilities within their capacity and in line with their skills and preferences.

Consistent and clear oral and written communication with all staff and regular volunteers is integral to the role, to ensure volunteers are aligned to the primary mission and broader operational objectives of Trillion Trees. A significant part of the role supports volunteer engagement in native plant propagation and production processes at the Trillion Trees Community Nursery, whilst maintaining a keen eye for the ongoing and periodic needs of the wider organisation.

ABOUT TRILLION TREES

Trillion Trees Australia is a for-purpose organisation dedicated to healing landscapes and connecting communities through our love of trees. We share a vision for a world in which all people recognise the value of trees. For over 45 years, with the help of thousands of volunteers, Trillion Trees Australia (formerly Men of the Trees) has planted close to 16 million native trees and plants across Perth and the Wheatbelt.

Our charity is proudly powered by volunteers, and managed by a small, dedicated staff team.
