Overview

How You’ll Make an Impact As Vice President of Engineering at Epsilon Retail Media, you will lead the execution of the technical strategy across multiple engineering teams. Partnering with other senior Engineering leaders, you will align engineering priorities to product and business goals, strengthen delivery practices, and build a culture of technical excellence, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will coach Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers, develop future leaders, and ensure engineering decisions maximise business outcomes.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Achieve

- Set objectives across multiple teams and guide Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers to translate strategy into delivery plans.
- Provide technical leadership that drives scalable architecture, high-quality systems, and pragmatic technology choices.
- Coach Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers to strengthen judgement, navigate complexity, and grow capability.
- Lead multiple engineering teams, creating an inclusive, collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Partner with product, design, business stakeholders, and product trios to manage expectations and maximise business outcomes.
- Encourage innovative approaches to process development, leveraging insights to enhance operational workflows.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring with you:

- Experience as a senior engineering or technical leader across multiple teams.
- Strong technical depth across modern engineering practices, platforms, and technologies.
- Ability to understand strategy, set direction, and align teams to business outcomes.
- Proven capability in coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering leaders.
- Clear, influential communication with product, design, business, and engineering stakeholders.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving ability in complex technical and organisational contexts.

Desirable:

- Experience designing and scaling cloud-based solutions, preferably on GCP.
- Robust understanding of microservices, containerisation, and orchestration platforms.
- Experience scaling low-latency, high-availability systems.




- Familiarity with optimisation techniques such as linear programming, constraint optimisation, evolutionary algorithms, or ML-based methods.
- Understanding of practical AI model delivery challenges, including data quality, scalability, monitoring, and maintenance.
