Your Role at Nextt: Support, Connect & Empower

As a Disability Support Worker at Nextt, you’ll provide person-centred support to help a woman living with Multiple Sclerosis live independently, stay connected and enjoy meaningful everyday experiences. You’ll provide support with personal care, daily routines, community access and social activities, while encouraging independence, confidence and choice.

We’re looking for an experienced, kind and reliable female Disability Support Worker to join our team in Wynnum, Brisbane.

This role would suit someone who is patient, positive and proactive, with the confidence to take initiative while respecting the person’s choices, independence and individual preferences.

A good sense of humour and the ability to have a good laugh are also essential!

Who We’re Looking For:

- A warm, patient and reliable Support Worker with proven disability support experience
- Experience with personal care, hoisting, transfers and psychosocial support
- Proactive and confident in taking initiative while respecting individual choices and independence
- Strong communication skills and a genuine ability to engage and build rapport
- Understands professional boundaries and the importance of following support plans and routines
- Encourages independence, confidence and decision-making
- Comfortable supporting community access and social activities
- Reliable, punctual and able to manage their time effectively
- A positive attitude and good sense of humour

Support Includes:

- Supporting hobbies, interests and meaningful activities
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Supporting social connection and participation in the community
- Following individual support plans and routines
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
- Completing transparent and accurate shift notes and handovers

The person you’ll be supporting enjoys music, art, painting, movies, swimming/hydrotherapy and meeting new people, and has a much-loved cat.

Certificates & Licences Required:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent
- Australian Driver’s Licence and fully insured vehicle

Casual Line 1 – Two-Week Rotating Roster
Week 1: Monday – 12:00pm–6:30pm, Tuesday – Off, Wednesday – Off, Thursday – Off, Friday – 12:00pm–6:30pm,



Saturday – 6:30am–8:30am, Sunday – 6:30am–12:00pm.
Week 2: Monday – Off, Tuesday – 6:30am–12:00pm, Wednesday – Off, Thursday – 6:30am–8:30am, Friday – 6:30am–12:00pm, Saturday – 6:30am–8:30am, Sunday – Off.

Casual Line 2 – Two-Week Rotating Roster
Week 1: Monday – 6:30am–12:00pm, Tuesday – 6:30am–12:00pm, Wednesday – Off, Thursday – Off, Friday – Off, Saturday – 6:30am–12:00pm, Sunday – 6:30am–8:30am.
Week 2: Monday – 6:30am–12:00pm, Tuesday – Off, Wednesday – 6:30am–8:30am, Thursday – Off, Friday – 6:30am–8:30am, Saturday – Off, Sunday – 12:00pm–6:30pm.

Pay Rates E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

- Base hourly rate: $36.81
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $40.49
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday): $41.23
- Saturday: $51.54
- Sunday: $66.26
- Public holiday: $80.99
