We're looking for a motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our Northmead team. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a full time position (38 hours per week) based at our Northmead warehouse, working within our operational hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm.
As a Warehouse Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring customer orders are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately while contributing to a safe, productive and efficient warehouse operation.
What You'll Do
- Safely receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch stock to meet customer requirements
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely (forklift licence essential)
- Load and unload deliveries, including container unloading when required
- Accurately process stock movements using warehouse and inventory systems
- Assist with customer collections and freight preparation
- Conduct stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory activities
- Maintain stock accuracy and report discrepancies or damaged goods
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe at all times
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and operational issues promptly
- Work collaboratively with teammates and supervisors to meet daily operational and customer requirements
- Follow company safety, quality and operational procedures
About You
- Current forklift licence with practical experience
- Minimum 6–12 months warehouse experience (pick-packing, loading/unloading)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Comfortable using warehouse, inventory or freight systems
- Physically fit – able to lift to 25kg
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Bonus points if you know safety products (but not essential!)
