- Pay rate $34.96 per hour + overtime
- Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm
- Aluminium Extrusions 6 metre lengths in packs (Must be strong and willing to lift continuously)
- Must have a current forklift licence
About Us This business is a manufacturing business of windows and doors based in Smithfield who are looking for a Warehouse Labourer to assist with the warehouse operation of the despatch i.e.: stock control, inwards goods, receipting, deliveries and checking of paperwork and making sure all items have been delivered.
Your day will consist of working in dispatch to assist within the warehouse with occasional forklift driving and manually preparing aluminium extrusions for the production team to manufacture windows and doors, loading them onto trucks and getting them ready for the delivery runs.
This role is a Temp to Perm ongoing role, with potential for you to go onto the customers payroll after a successful 6-month probation period.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ensure all despatch processes are efficient and to the highest quality standards
- Load and unload deliveries operating a forklift
- Manually handle and prepare aluminium extrusions
- Monitor work schedules and ensure on-time completion of tasks
- Maintain a safe and organised work setting
- Collaborate with Production Supervisor to optimise despatch processes
- Identify and report any quality or safety issues
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and improvements
Experience & Qualifications
- Warehouse, Distribution or Manufacturing background
- Current forklift licence
- Stock control, cycle counts, stock takes and operate a computer
- Handle raw materials i.e.: glass, aluminium, hardware or timber
- Comfortable with manual handling and repetitive lifting
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Safety-conscious with a proactive approach to workplace safety
