Cater Care is seeking a skilled and passionate qualified Chef to join our team at our brand-new aged care facility in scenic Lake Cathie on the NSW North Coast.

This position offers energetic daytime hours with no late finishes, providing a rare and rewarding work-life balance compared to traditional hospitality roles. Working alongside the Chef Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily kitchen operations, driving bulk meal preparation, and delivering wholesome, high-quality dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and present fresh, nutritious meals at a consistent standard
- Support and lead bulk cooking operations in a structured environment
- Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen coordination
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene compliance
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and service-ready
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace

Desired Skills And Experience

Skills and Experience

- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Aged care or bulk catering experience (advantageous)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to routine
- Reliable, team-focused, and able to work independently
- Commitment to quality, consistency, and service standards
