Salary packaging + 5 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading + phone allowance

Randstad has proudly partnered with ALPA (Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation), one of Australia's largest Aboriginal-owned benevolent corporations. We are seeking passionate individuals ready to bring their skills to support the social and economic development of remote communities across some of the most beautiful parts of Northern Australia

About Your Next Role

Reporting to the Training Team Leader, you will deliver specialised training and assessment to predominantly First Nations learners where English may not be their first language

This role requires a highly agile individual who is quick on their feet and resilient to changing priorities. Remote operations are unpredictable, and you will need a calm, "ready-to-go" demeanour to seamlessly pivot when schedules shift. You will spend at least 50% of your time travelling extensively to remote communities, with your remaining time spent in the Darwin Support Office catching up on administration and planning future trips

Key responsibilities include

- Provide onsite and online workplace training of nationally accredited courses following ALPA's quality standards, including small groups as part of the VET in Schools program

- Undertake language, literacy, and numeracy assessments, while mentoring and coaching students in person when in communities, and via video/phone when based in Darwin

- Correctly perform student enrolments, maintain accurate records of course progress, assist workplace coaches, and provide input into improving RTO resources

- Actively represent ALPA with community leaders, local government, schools, and business operators when working in remote settings

- Be a champion of the ALPA values and demonstrate a strict commitment to work health and safety

What You Will Need to Bring

- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is mandatory, alongside a Certificate III or higher in Retail or Community Services

- Demonstrated experience working as a trainer in Retail or Community Services directly with First Nations learners is essential

- Experience utilising a broad range of software including learning management systems, student management systems, video conferencing, and the Microsoft Office suit

- Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt your written and oral communication to meet the needs of people from all education levels and language backgrounds
- An unrestricted NT C class driver's license

- Cultural awareness, respect, and a genuine commitment to working effectively with First Nations communities

- Experience working in the Northern Territory or within a remote community, industry experience in retail/community services, and a willingness to upskill across all qualifications offered by ALPA's RTO

What You Will Get in Return

- 6 weeks Annual Leave, 17.5% Leave Loading, Phone Allowance and Salary Packaging of $15900

- The unique chance to make a meaningful, lasting difference in remote First Nations Communities
- A flexible supportive office environment combined with incredible adventure travelling across beautiful, remote Northern Australia
