We are thrilled to partner with a leading South Australian icon in the search for their Executive General Manager – People & Culture. This privately held organisation has built solid relationships across its sector and is widely known for its hardworking and dedicated operational team. This appointment is the final piece of the executive board and offers the opportunity to bring People & Culture into the heart of strategic business decisions, working alongside leaders who value practical advice and genuine partnership.

Your Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the board, you’ll shape and deliver the people strategy, organisational capability and workforce priorities in alignment with the broader business strategy.

You will connect workforce planning, leadership development and culture with the business’s commercial goals. You’ll help leaders make good decisions, strengthen performance and guide change in a way that works for both the business and its people.

You’ll also lead employee and industrial relations in a legislated environment, building constructive relationships and handling complex matters with sound commercial judgement. Working closely with Operations, HSEQ and Finance, you’ll lead a small P&C; team that is visible, responsive and valued across the business.

About You

You’re a gifted architect in developing P&C; in a commercial sense, and you thoroughly enjoy working with executive and operational leaders,



listening to the workforce and turning people insights into practical business solutions.

You bring commercial judgement, the competence to influence at executive level and a warm but clear leadership style. You’re comfortable in an industrial workplace, with the experience to navigate industrial relations, difficult conversations and change in a calm and constructive manner.

Senior P&C; leadership experience, sound knowledge of employment and industrial relations, relevant qualifications or equivalent experience, and a current unrestricted driver’s licence are required. Experience in an industrial environment governed by EBAs and Awards will be highly regarded.

This is a hands-on executive appointment with genuine scope to influence the business’s future. A competitive remuneration package is offered, including a vehicle component, and will be aligned with the scope of the role.
