We are seeking an experienced and passionate Principal Town Planner to join our growing team. This role will suit a motivated planning professional who enjoys delivering innovative design solutions, achieving positive development outcomes, and contributing to the creation of sustainable communities.

This opportunity is ideally based at our Western Sydney (Oran Park) office.

About the Role

As a Principal Town Planner, you will play a key role in managing complex planning projects, providing strategic advice, building strong client relationships, and supporting the growth and development of our planning team.

You will be responsible for:

Leadership & Team Contribution

- Providing leadership and guidance when working with clients, Councils, consultants, colleagues, and project stakeholders.
- Mentoring and supporting junior planners to develop their skills and professional capability.
- Collaborating within a team environment to provide high-quality planning advice, advocacy, and project support.

Client & Stakeholder Management
- Representing Beveridge Williams’ clients at hearings, meetings, and consultation forums.
- Managing projects and delivering planning outcomes on behalf of clients.




- Providing clear direction and advice to clients, Councils, and project teams regarding planning pathways, approvals, and project progress.

Project Delivery
- Managing a range of planning applications from inception through to approval.
- Coordinating consultants and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
- Delivering quality outcomes within agreed budgets and timeframes.
- Providing strategic planning advice to support development proposals and key projects.
- Assisting with proposals, tenders, and business development opportunities.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and experienced planning professional who brings:

- A recognised Degree qualification in Town Planning.
- Ideally 10+ years’ experience within the development industry, consultancy, or a related planning environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of NSW planning legislation, policy frameworks, and approval processes.
- Experience managing complex planning projects and stakeholder relationships.
- The ability to undertake and interpret technical planning assessments and analyses.
- Solid communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
