We're Looking For

An experienced Insurance Lead to join our Group Risk team and take enterprise leadership of Stockland’s insurance strategy and program. Reporting to the Group Risk Officer, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery and become a trusted insurance adviser across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the development and delivery of Stockland’s multi-year insurance strategy and oversee our broader insurance program, including annual renewals, portfolio design, claims, valuations, loss prevention, governance and reporting.

You’ll personally lead high profile, high value and complex claims, while maintaining oversight of day to day claims management and working closely with our broker, insurers and specialist advisers.

As a trusted strategic adviser, you’ll partner with senior leaders and teams across Stockland, translating complex insurance and market considerations into clear, practical recommendations that enable confident commercial decisions.

You’ll also lead key broker and insurer relationships and bring together market insight, claims experience, data and evolving business needs to strengthen the long-term effectiveness of Stockland’s insurance program.

You’re an accomplished insurance professional who enjoys operating at both a strategic and practical level. You bring strong commercial judgement,



credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to simplify complex insurance matters into clear recommendations and actions.

You’re at your best when building trusted partnerships, navigating ambiguity and influencing outcomes across the organisation.

Experience & Skills That Count

- 10+ years’ experience across corporate insurance, broking, underwriting, claims or insurance advisory, ideally gained within a complex or listed organisation.
- Demonstrated experience developing insurance strategy and leading a substantial insurance program, including annual renewal strategy and execution.
- Strong experience leading complex, high value or contentious claims, including coverage analysis, insurer negotiation and settlement strategy.
- Proven ability to advise senior executives and governance forums, turning technical and market complexity into clear options and recommendations.
