Green Light Australia are looking to engage Database Consultant (PostgreSQL) to maintain and support production environments within our Database technologies division. The nominated Database Consultant (PostgreSQL) will require a minimum of five (5) years’ experience doing database administration, engineering and/or development of databases in production environments. As an experienced Database Consultant (PostgreSQL), you will be involved into data migration implementation with providing further indexing, recommendations and optimisation.

The role is unique as it is based in regional Victoria, and suited for individuals who are looking for a change in scenery and keen on the regional Victorian lifestyle.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute policies, practices and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle needs
- Ensure data currency, availability to users, and the protection of that data from loss
- Applying approved data updates, data protection (backups), availability, distribution, migration, warehousing, management, replication, redundancy, and security.

Requirements:

- 5-10 years’ experience in Enterprise Database Administration, Database Development/Engineering or Data Architecture/Engineering.
- Experience with Database migration techniques and experience migrating mission critical database platforms from on-premise data centres to the cloud
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL database fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs,



providing the best solution to meet those needs
- Proven ability to design and implement PostgreSQL high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL streaming and logical replication & clustering
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL database security management
- Experience with PostgreSQL tuning, and sizing ·
- Experience with PostgreSQL monitoring tools
- Experience with PostgreSQL backup and recovery
- Should have strong UNIX platform skills and understanding of network, storage, tiered application environments and security
- Experience in agile delivery methodologies
