Austek Roads is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Asphalt Crew Truck Operator/ Machine Operator to join our crew based out of Luscombe, QLD. You will play a crucial role in supporting our asphalt paving operations, contributing to the successful delivery of vital infrastructure projects across the region.

What you'll be doing

- Perform asphalt construction duties as directed by the Crew Leader or Supervisor.

- Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

- Carry out road preparation, asphalt placement, compaction, profiling and general labouring duties as required.

- Assist with loading, unloading and handling materials, tools and equipment.

- Maintain allocated equipment, tools and work areas in a clean, safe and serviceable condition, and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements.

- Carry out daily pre-start inspections and complete all required inspections and documentation.

- Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

- White Card / Construction Card
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation (HR/MR Licence desirable)
- Plant & Machinery Tickets and VOCs, desirable
- Experience as an Asphalt Crew Members required




- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
